Furniture Making
DAY CLASS FOR BEGINNERS
Build a practical wooden serving tray using basic power tools. Learn design, layout, cutting, and jointing.
The Serving Tray, is one of the most practical ways of carrying a plate of food and drink and the other usual accompaniments. Whether you’re bringing your loved one breakfast in bed, or just heading to the sofa to watch your favourite TV show with a little dinner, this birch-veneered tray with curved ends will make a great addition to the household.
You will cut materials to size from the drawing, use the power mitre saw and create joints using the router. You will use the router table and templates to create the tray ends and create grooves for the tray bottom and glue and assemble the project ready for staining or painting.
